Safety tips for the Car Seat Part of Car Seat Strollers

One of the things that a lot of parents know that they are going to need when they have a baby is something like a baby jogger stroller or even car seat strollers.  But another thing that the parents are going to need is a car seat for their baby.  Here are some tips to keep a baby safe when he or she is in their car seat.

  • Keep in mind that the baby is going to be safest in their car seat in the rear seat of the car.  It should never be in the front seat near one of the car’s airbags. When the child is under one year old and less than 20 pounds, that car seat should face the car’s rear.  It should also recline at an angle equal to 45 degrees. If it’s not angling properly, prop the seat’s rear using something like a towel that you have rolled up.
  • It’s best to buy a new car seat.  Don’t take a car seat from someone else if you don’t know the history. You should also not use one that is over six years old.
  • When you install your car seat, try moving it back and forth and side to side. You should not be able to move it over an inch. If it’s slipping on your car’s upholstery, particularly leather seats, place shelf liner beneath the seat to give it more grip.

A good place to go for car seats and double baby joggers is d mart stores.  They have a large selection.
